Please welcome Global Military Justice Reform's newest contributor, Professor
Richard K. Sala of Vermont Law School. Richard retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2018 after 21 years of active duty service. He served as an enlisted Infantry Marine and Infantry Officer before being selected for the Excess Leave Program and transitioning to the JAG Corps. During his time as a Judge Advocate, he served as a criminal prosecutor, Judge Advocate to the Commanding Officer of Marine Rotational Force-Darwin, and Assistant Deputy Staff Judge Advocate to the Commanding General of 1st Marine Division. After retiring, Richard spent a year with the New Hampshire Department of Justice before joining the Vermont Law faculty. He teaches several courses at Vermont Law, including National Security Law. His interests include Executive Power and Military Justice.
