Students demand public trial, refuse to seek bail

The Bangkok 14, students held since last June for demonstrating, are not going quietly. Slated for trial in a military court, they are refusing to seek release on bail because the military court lacks jurisdiction over them as civilians. They are also demanding that their military trial be conducted in public. The Army Chief isn't backing down. Details here.
