Proceedings are currently underway in both the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Peshawar High Court on review of courts-martial of hundreds of civilians. Today the government failed to submit the records of trial of 290 petitioners in the High Court, prompting the threat of an order releasing them on bail. The government has sought a stay from the Supreme Court. More to come, but it appears that a judicial moment of truth is nearing in one or both of these courts.
