The pandemic is taking its toll on military justice in Lebanon, according to this account in L'Orient-Le Jour.
Source of concern, the Lebanese army announced that 13 soldiers serving with the Military Tribunal had tested positive for the virus. Two of these soldiers come from Majdel Anjar in the Bekaa, according to our correspondent in the Bekaa, Sarah Abdallah. The mohafez [governor] of the region, Kamal Abou Jaoudé, said during the day that a third contaminated soldier was from Taalabaya. According to the LBCI, the "zero patient" is an affected but asymptomatic soldier, whose father had been infected. 40 lawyers who went to the seat of the Military Court during the week had to undergo PCR screening tests. Other magistrates who have rubbed shoulders with the Military Court will also take tests on Tuesday.
