Was it unfair to single Major Zaidi out for trial?

A law professor in Malaysia has suggested that if it was fair for the government to prosecute Air Force Major Zaidi Ahmad, who contradicted the government by disclosing the inefficacy of the indelible ink used to prevent voter fraud, then the Inspector General of Police should also be prosecuted for contradicting a member of the cabinet concerning security in northeast Borneo.
[Prof. Abdul] Aziz [Bari] said that [Tan Sri] Khalid should also be tried as Zaidi was, before a military court, because the IGP was the highest-ranking officer in the police force.
"If Zaidi being tried for going against the orders of his superiors then Khalid should be too," he said.
Prof. Aziz spoke at a forum organized by Bersih 2.0, an elections watchdog group.
