Press conference on the Third Independent Review

A video of yesterday's press conference on the receipt of the report of the Third Independent Review of the National Defence Act submitted to the Minister of National Defence by retired Supreme Court Justice Morris J. Fish is available here. Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan announced that the government accepted Justice Fish's 107 recommendations in principle.

A further inquiry focused on sexual misconduct is to be conducted by another retired Supreme Court Justice, Hon. Louise Arbour.
