His Honour Judge
Alan Large, the British Judge Advocate General, has written an important essay,
Essential Features of a Military Justice System. You can find it
here. The essay identifies and comments on several of the critical aspects of military justice systems and the pertinent provisions of the Decaux Principles. It is must reading for the military bench and bar, especially in those countries that have British-influenced systems that have not been updated in recent years.
The Editor is grateful to both the JAG and The Commonwealth Magistrates' and Judges' Association for permission to make it available to readers of Global Military Justice Reform.
