A little late, it occurred to someone in the Global Military Justice Reform glass-enclosed newsroom over coffee this morning that this is the 60th year since America's last military execution.
U.S. Army Private John A. Bennettwas hanged at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth on April 13, 1961.
