When life gives you lemons

The trial of Barbados Defence Force member Raheem Reeves continues. As reported here, the court-martial panel denied a defense claim that the prosecutor had not proved his case. Some of the arguments seem, shall we say, strained, as in "I needed to go home to cook my lunch." 

The defense will put on its case after the weekend. 

Note that the Barbadian military justice system is what would be called "non-compliant" if it were subject to the European Convention on Human Rights. There is a judge advocate serving as legal advisor, but the members vote on legal issues. So far, no sign of a broad systemic challenge for lack of independence.
