The public debate over the lack of effective or a vested
right of judicial review over orders of the Armed Forces Tribunal in India,
emanating out of a Supreme Court decision rendered last month, has gained some
momentum.

effect of the decision and the quandary that has cropped up.
In a related development, here is my strong rebuttal to a
retired General of the Armoured (Armored) Corps who had written on the issue in
“The Hindustan Times”.
