Canadian Defence Minister
Harjit Sajjan has apologized for remarks he made during a
speech he gave on April 18, 2017 to the Delhi-based Observer Research Foundation security think-tank, describing himself as the "architect" of the
2016 Medusa Operation. Over the week-end, the Minister has apologized noting that he had made a mistake in how he described his role during his deployments to Afghanistan. The issue was raised this afternoon during
Question Period in the House of Commons with opposition members calling for his resignation. In response, Prime Minister Trudeau said that Harjit Sajjan has his 'full confidence'.
