The president of Uruguay's Supreme Military Court has been forced out of his job by the Minister of National Defense. The name of the judge, retired General
Daniel Castellá (at left), had been discovered among the officers who were present when
Dr. Vladimir Roslik was tortured during the country's military dictatorship. Castellá was a captain at the time. His name surfaced on a document uncovered on Monday as a result of as freedom of information act request by a journalist.
