have been issued to various formations and units of the Indian Army that
failure to report symptoms of COVID-19 or any interaction with an affected
person, shall result in disciplinary action under the Army Act.
The
authorised leave of all ranks has also been extended till April 15 for the time
being, and troops have been asked to first report to the station military
medical facility before joining back their units from leave.
The
Indian Army till now has reported only about 5 positive cases but is gearing up
for all eventualities. The military has also assured full back-up to the civilian
administration in case required. Meanwhile, many former soldiers and officers
