Armed Forces Tribunal quashes proceedings against a brigadier
The Armed Forces Tribunal has quashed the proceedings pending against a Brigadier of the Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army, holding that the allegations contained in the charge-sheet did not disclose any evidence against him.
The Army had charged the Brigadier with irregularities in procurement of furniture for a housing project for the defence services.
The officer had however averred that the action had been initiated without any evidence against him and that he had followed all due procedures as required under the relevant instructions.
