Katelyn Ferral of the
Cap Times about the handling of sexual assault allegations in the National Guard. There are over 450,000 members of the National Guard, 22% of whom are women. Personnel who are not on federal ("title 10") orders are subject to state or territorial codes of military justice; their cases are outside the jurisdiction of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces or the service courts of criminal appeals.
