50 shades of Edmond

Remember the controversy over whether judges of the service Courts of Criminal Appeals are principal or inferior officers for Appointments Clause purposes? A case that was just argued in the Supreme Court will likely draw on Edmond v. United States, 520 U.S. 651 (1997), but it has to do with administrative patent judges.
