Steven Pfaff has written this [paywalled] International Journal of Maritime History review of The Curse of the Somers: The Secret History behind the U.S. Navy’s Most Infamous Mutiny by James P. Delgado.
Having read the book, I would say it is an excellent read. I think the "secret" history is unnecessary overselling. The book is less about the mutiny itself. The "secrets" are the best part, which are essentially biographies of some of the major players, some lesser-knowns, and the politics of getting promoted, with a little bit of the Peter Principle.
