Civilians convicted by DRC military court

A military court in the Democratic Republic of Congo has imposed death sentences on three civilians and eight soldiers for providing arms to a rebel group. Details here

The trial of civilians by military courts is forbidden by the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights and is strongly disfavored in general by human rights jurisprudence.

Other countries that try civilians in military courts include Uganda, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, and (rarely) the United Kingdom and the United States.
