A military court operating under the Polisario Front has sent three Moroccan gold prospectors to jail. Yabiladi reports:
It was during an expeditious trial that the Polisario military court on Wednesday sentenced three young Moroccan gold prospectors to heavy sentences. Thus, Ennassiri Abdelaziz was sentenced to 7 years in prison, Rguibi Elkhaldi and Lehbib Kazaz were sentenced to 6 years in prison, in a verdict without appeal.
“The session lasted barely an hour. No lawyer has defended the three Sahrawis, originally from Boujdour, who were prosecuted for "collaboration with an enemy state". Worse, their families were not allowed to attend the trial, "says Messoud Ramdan, president of the Sahrawi Association for Human Rights (ASADEH).
