China's anti-corruption campaign has turned its focus to the military. On Monday, the Chinese Communist Party's Central Military Commission published the names of 14 senior officers who are under investigation for corruption. Political commentator Zhang Lifan viewed the anti-corruption campaign's move to the military as a consolidation of President Zi Jinping's "grip over the military." Military officers, however, said that the corruption in the Chinese armed forces was so widespread that it could undermine the country's ability to go to war. One senior official is accused of making millions of dollars from the sale of hundreds of military positions.
