A noteworthy reform measure in Belarus

According to this news report by Kirill Laptev, an associate at the Sorainen Baltic-region law firm, Belarus has been consolidating its court system. One interesting aspect of the changes is this:
From 1 July 2014 the military panel [of the Supreme Court] will be abolished as well as the whole military court system. Military court functions will be transferred to regional, Minsk City, and district (city) common courts.
