A bit of history worth knowing about

David F. Addlestone
A Wikipedia article has been posted describing the work of the Lawyers Military Defense Committee, a group that provided defense services to accused U.S. military personnel during the Vietnam War, not only in Vietnam, but also in the Philippines, Germany and Italy. The list of lawyers involved reads like a Who's Who of Vietnam Era military justice. It's a little known chapter -- but one that deserves to be remembered. Hat tip to David F. Addlestone (later long-time co-director of the National Veterans Legal Services Program) for sharing the link.
