H/T to Col. Dwight H. Sullivan, USMCR (Ret), for this handsome addition to the Global Military Justice Reform portrait gallery. Honk if you recognized Col. William Woolsey Winthrop.
The portrait, which is quite large, is newly hung in the grand foyer outside of CAAF's courtroom. The painting is dated 1958 and the artist is Ohlwarther. I understand that there was a portrait painter named Franz Ohlwarther who was popular with G.I.s serving in West Germany in the 1950s.

ReplyDeleteExcellent. The floor is still open for further suggestions for the portrait gallery.
