Observations on the guilty plea by General Jonathan Vance (retired)

There has been a fair bit of commentary regarding the guilty plea by General Jonathan Vance (retired) to the sole charge of obstructing justice (contrary to section 139(2) of the Criminal Code), and the consequent conditional discharge (in lieu of a sentence and the conviction that would arise therefrom).
