A major UCMJ ruling in Washington

Federal District Judge Richard J. Leon today ruled that the part of the Uniform Code of Military Justice that confers court-martial jurisdiction over retirees is unconsitutional. The decision came in Larrabee v. Braithwaite. Prof. Stephen Vladeck of the University of Texas Law School was lead counsel for the plaintiff. [Full disclosure: the Editor was co-counsel.]
