The New York Times published a disturbing and timely piece today on the extreme paucity of minorities (and women) in the upper echelon of the U.S. military, as well as a seeming sharp recent rise in racism within the U.S. armed forces. Reading this with images of
George Floyd's apparent murder at the hands of white police officers in Minneapolis this week flashing on the TV screen in the background ... sure seems to reveal to this contributor a nation sick on many levels, with its executive leadership feeding off such depravity and fueling its flames.
