The report of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces for the year ending Sept. 30, 2019, is available
here. Bottom line: the caseload continues to be pretty anemic; petitions were up from the preceding year but oral arguments and total opinions issued were slightly off. The time from filing of the petition to the grant of review was the longest it's been in ten years. On the other hand, the time between petition filing and final decision was dramatically reduced from the year before.
The court denied review in 360 cases,
thereby foreclosing review by the Supreme Court. (Congress once again this year failed to afford court-martial appellants the same access to the Supreme Court as is enjoyed by state, civilian federal, and military commission defendants.)
