The Consortion and its activities were deemed to be illegal by the government. The accused, Nkongho Félix Agbor Balla and Afoteka’a Neba, are facing eight separate criminal charges including: a) dissemination of false news; b) acts against the state; and, c) armed rebellion. They face the death penalty. The Cameroon Bar Association has mobilized to provide support to the accused.
