  3. GREF is an integral part of the armed forces .Honorable Supreme court of India suggested that the members of GREf are to be treated at par with members of Army posted in GREF in the matter of salary ,allowances ration etc and the disparity between army and GREF needs to be removed. The order dates back to 1983.Many of standing committees and parliamentary committees brought out the plight of the members of GREF to the notice of the government. The indifference towards the cause of GREF Is damaging the morale of the force.Retired personnel of GREF are the most affected .May the Government look into the genuine grievances sympathetically.
