Paul Brereton of the New South Wales Supreme Court is conducting hearings in connection with an inspector general's review of possible misconduct by special forces personnel. One of the allegations under consideration involves a coverup of the execution of a POW. According to
this report, "[l]ittle is known about the review, which is run independently to the army chain of command."
