The Toledo Blade has an editorial on whether the military can police itself with respect to sexual assault. Bottom line:

"The Military Justice Improvement Act is not a panacea for correcting dysfunctions that remain rooted in the military’s culture. But it is a step forward that will result in a more unbiased and responsive justice system that will safeguard the sacred right to due process."
