Point of kvetch

Global Military Justice Reform tries to monitor the numerous cases that have arisen as a result of Pakistan's 21st Amendment, which for another 10 months permits military trials of civilians. Some of the cases have been upheld; others have resulted in stays of execution. There's a fair amount of coverage -- here's an example.

What's missing nearly all the time is any effort to state clearly and distinctly what the legal issues are in these cases. If any Pakistani citizens are following this blog, please ask your journalist friends to make the time to find out what the cases are amount . . . so readers can know what to make of the seemingly endless journeys from the various high courts to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Thank you. End of rant.
