Misconduct by Nigerian military personnel

This editorial in Punch presents a disturbing litany of misconduct by Nigerian military personnel, including most recently forcible interference with civilian court proceedings in which soldiers were being prosecuted for traffic offenses. The editorial warns that "[a]ny military that cannot subordinate themselves to civilian authorities portend danger. But the case with the military in Nigeria is replete with crude tales of recklessness, insubordination and bellicosity."
