UPI reports: A South Korean military officer has been charged with leaking naval secrets to a Chinese state agent but there is no circumstantial evidence of North Korean involvement, Seoul said Friday. The officer, a major (reported elsewhere as a lieutenant commander indicating he's a naval officer) in South Korea's Defense Security Command, had been taken into custody and charged with violating military security laws, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported.
The Guardian adds to this with: "In June, two officials from the Defense Security Command were sentenced to six years and four years in prison respectively for passing classified information to arms dealers."
A little on the ROK armed forces.
