Rear Admiral
John S. Jenkins, JAGC, USN (Ret) died on April 23. Admiral Jenkins had served as Judge Advocate General of the Navy, a dean at The George Washington University Law School, and for many years the Judge Advocates Association's representative to the ABA House for Delegates. He was one of the founders of the National Institute of Military Justice in 1991. One of NIMJ's annual writing awards is dedicated to Admiral Jenkins.
