Another twist on military justice in Nigeria

Leadership is running this story, about pay checkage pending trial:
The 97 soldiers currently facing trial before the Army court martial for mutiny and other offences have been placed on half salary by military authorities.
Military sources disclosed that the action which follows military tradition will only be reversed if after the trial, they are discharged and acquitted.
“For those who are found guilty, nothing will be done. Only those that are set free will receive arrears,” the source explained.
Presumption of innocence, anyone?
