According to
this report on
TurkishPress.com, an Egyptian military court has sentenced five leaders of the
Muslim Brotherhood to prison for a year for attempted illegal border-crossing, trespassing in a military zone, and possession of ammunition.
It is the first time for Muslim Brotherhood members to be tried in a military court since the approval of an amended version of Egypt's 2012 constitution in a mid-January referendum.
It is the second military trial for civilians, however, since the amended charter was approved.
In April, a military court jailed four people from the pro-Brotherhood Rassd news network for "spreading rumors" about the army.
