Another bar association joins the military courts case before the Supreme Court of Pakistan

Karachi's Sindh High Court Bar Association has joined the growing list of lawyers' and other organizations attacking the military courts recently authorized by Pakistan's Parliament. The court's supplementary cause list shows that the Lahore and Sindh HC bar associations' cases were assigned, as were all of the other military courts-related Constitutional Petitions, to Bench No. 1, composed of Nasir-ul-Mulk, Ahmed and Alam JJ. The lead case is Lahore High Court Bar Association v. Federation of Pakistan, Const. Pet. No. 2 of 2015. No word yet on how today's consolidated hearing went.
