New case raises issues concerning Army Board for Correction of Military Records

The National Veterans Legal Services Program, Vietnam Veterans of America and two individuals have filed an action in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. calling into question a variety of practices on the part of the Army Board for Correction of Military Records. For example, the complaint recites that the ABCMR staff has invaded the province of the board's members by rejecting and returning applications it deems deficient. The case is National Veterans Legal Services Program v. U.S. Dep't of Defense, Civil No. 14-1915.
