Indelible ink and disappearing evidence

This just in on the Malaysian Air Force prosecution of Major Zaidi Ahmad in "The Indelible Ink Case." It seems that a key piece of government evidence -- a CD-ROM -- has been excluded on grounds of authenticity because it is merely a copy of the original data. It's not clear how big a blow this is to the prosecution. Trial resumes on August 26.
