State military justice

One of the under-examined areas of military justice is the system of justice in the various state National Guards. Here, found serendipitously, is the Manual for Courts-Martial, California (2007 ed.). At least 15 states have adopted the Model State Code of Military Justice. The 2013 amendments to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (and others that may come in 2014) will presumably keep legislative drafters and legislators busy in state capitals around the country, seeking to keep federal and state systems in sync.
